Our custom-designed roll-on bottle has secured two prestigious accolades: a Winner title at the 2025 IMDA Awards in the United States and a Gold Medal at the renowned South African Gold Pack Awards.
Global Recognition: Teqal’s Roll-On Bottle Shines at the 2025 IMDA Award. The In-Mould Decorating Association (IMDA) Awards competition, held in the USA, recognises the world’s best industry-leading applications in in-mould labelling (IML) and decorating.
Competing against entries from around the globe, Teqal was announced the winner in the Best Use of In-Mould Labelling, Blow Mould – Package or Container category.
The judges recognised our roll-on bottle for its exceptional design complexity, functionality, and the innovative integration of the in-mould element into the package. This award is particularly significant as it highlights our ability to solve complex engineering challenges.
The Technical Breakthrough: Teqal’s Innovative Approach to IML Roll-On Bottle Creation
- Innovation: We introduced the label directly into the blow station of an injection blow moulding machine.
- Functionality: Teqal’s Roll-On Bottle Label-More Than Just Aesthetic, It’s a Performance Booster. Precision: The front and back labels are printed, die-cut, and moulded together. This ensures perfect colour consistency and prevents curling or label movement, often seen in traditional labelling.
Local Excellence: Gold at the Gold Pack Awards
Back on home soil, we are equally proud to have taken home a Gold Medal at the Gold Pack Awards. Known as the “Oscars” of the South African packaging industry, a Gold Pack medal is the ultimate seal of approval for technical excellence and packaging quality.
